House History

Our house was built in 1910 and is in the Ballard neighborhood of Seattle. While it might fall into the bungalow or craftsman category, we like to think of it as a “starter craftsman.” Based on its size and overall lack of period details (no built-ins or interesting woodwork to speak of), we envision that it was home to a logger working at the local cedar mill or maybe a fisherman down at Shilshole Bay. In any case, those early residents probably never imagined that after nearly 100 years the house would have its own blog (nevermind that whole concept of the internet).
